Yvonne Landen Gardner, 79, of Wilson, passed away Tuesday.  A graveside funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Friday in Maplewood Cemetery, Wilson.  The Rev. Dan Hensley will officiate. Surviving are her two daughters, Catherine Gardner Winborne and husband, Donald “Stumpy” Winborne of Sims, and Beth Gardner Hargett and husband, Peter Stowe Hargett of Harkers Island; two grandsons, Gardner Watkins,  and Matt Watkins and wife, Ashley, all of Wilmington; four great-grandsons, Landen Watkins, and Jude, Roman, and Jack Watkins; two sisters, Reba Robbins of Elm City, and Doris Skinner of Stantonsburg; and five step-grandchildren, Brian and Jessica Hargett, both of Greenville, and Kim Barnes, Mark Winborne, and Heather Winborne, all of Wilson. She was preceded in death by her husband, William “Billy” Graham Gardner; parents, Henry Leslie and Julia Thomas Landen; and a sister, Christine Parham.
