Zilphia High Nichols January 30, 1926 – November 15, 2019 Zilphia High Nichols, 93 of Sims passed away Friday. Her funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at Marsh Swamp Original Free Will Baptist Church, 6664 Rock Ridge School Road, Sims. Interment will follow in Marsh Swamp Original Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery, Sims. The Rev. Ray Wells will officiate. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 6 – 8 p.m. Joyner’s Funeral Home, 4100 Raleigh Road Parkway, Wilson and other times at the home of her daughter, Joan. Zilphia is survived by her son, Bradley Nichols and wife, Deloras of Sims; daughters, Joan Bunn and husband, Bruce of Sims and Susan Davis and husband, Keith of Sims; grandchildren, Ken Nichols and wife, Charity, Dean Nichols and wife, Heather, William Nichols and wife, Holly, Chris Bunn and wife, Natalie, Elizabeth B. Seagroves and husband, David, Jonathan Davis and wife, Allison and Meagan D. Eldridge and husband, Justin; eighteen great-grandchildren; sister, Nell High of Sims and several special nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lawton Earl Nichols and brother, Welton Ray High. Flowers are welcome or memorials may be directed to Meals of Marsh Swamp OFWB Church, 6504 Rock Ridge School Road, Wilson, North Carolina 27893.
